Stanley Engineering Company, Inc. was founded in 1974 by Hollie M. Stanley Jr. to provide engineering services to the general Houston area and nationwide. The company was incorporated in 1979.

Stanley Engineering Company, Inc. was bought by acting Vice President John G. (Jackie) Spurling and acting Senior Project Engineer Louis A. Hamilton in January 2009. The company name was changed in April 2010 to Stanley Spurling & Hamilton, Inc. The name change reflects the history and founder of the company along with the two current principals. Our goal remains the same; we look after the financial interests of our clients and deliver each project on time and under budget while providing solutions that best meets our clients' needs.

Our Licensed Engineers have over 85 years combined experience in Structural Engineering Design and Analysis, Civil Engineering Design, Marine Engineering, Facility Assessment, and Investigative Engineering. Our Licensed Engineers are supported by a combined staff of 22 engineers-in-training, designers, CAD draftsmen, and administrative personnel. Stanley Spurling & Hamilton, Inc. is licensed in 39 states and is also certified as a Small Business Enterprise with the City of Houston, Metropolitan Transit Authority, and the Port of Houston Authority.

Our principals share active roles in the projects, in the field, in design reviews and in project quality control efforts. This enables us to provide efficient solutions one project at a time.
